Wanchese Fishing with Captains Caine & Taylor

When you step aboard the 32’ Topaz Miss Banx, you’re fishing with captains who didn’t just choose this career — they grew up on the water and worked their way into the captain’s chair.

For Capt. Taylor Wilson, fishing started long before the Miss Banx.

Taylor grew up fishing from a young age and caught her first sailfish at just 8 years old, kicking off a lifelong love for being on the water. As she got older, that passion turned into a career.

She spent years working her way through the local charter fishing industry, gaining experience aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet head boats as well as working on other nearshore charter boats. Those years in the cockpit gave her hands-on experience with everything from working with customers and families to learning the fisheries and waters surrounding the Outer Banks.

Today, she has built Miss Banx Charters around the kind of fishing she loves most: getting people on the water, catching fish and making sure everyone aboard has a good time.

And if there’s one thing Taylor especially loves, it’s taking kids fishing.

Capt. Caine Livesay

Joining Taylor at the helm is Capt. Caine Livesay, an Outer Banks native many will recognize from Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks.

Caine also started working on the water at a young age, earning his way from the cockpit to the captain’s chair and building decades of hands-on experience along the way. While television audiences watched Caine chase giant bluefin tuna on Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, tuna fishing is only one part of his story.

Fishing, shrimping, longlining and commercial fishing — you name it, chances are Caine has experience doing it. He has spent his life working the waters around the Outer Banks and has the kind of knowledge that can only come from years of actually doing it.

Now he brings that experience aboard the Miss Banx, running our 32’ Topaz and giving our customers the opportunity to fish with one of the Outer Banks’ most recognizable captains.

Two Captains. One Miss Banx.

Taylor and Caine may have taken different paths to get here, but they have a whole lot in common: they both grew up fishing, started working on boats young, worked their way up through the industry and built their lives around the waters of the Outer Banks.

Together, they bring years of local fishing knowledge and experience aboard the Miss Banx — but just as importantly, they know how to make a fishing trip fun.

The Miss Banx offers 4-hour, 6-hour and tower trips, with trips tailored around the season, conditions and what’s biting. Depending on the time of year, you might find us chasing Spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia, red drum, flounder and plenty more.

Experienced fisherman? Come on.

Never touched a fishing rod? Come on.

Bringing the whole family? Absolutely.

We welcome all ages and all experience levels, and kids are some of our favorite customers. Whether we’re helping someone catch their very first fish or taking an experienced angler after something they’ve been chasing for years, the goal is the same:

Catch some fish, have a damn good time, and leave the Miss Banx with a story worth telling.

Come fish the Outer Banks with Capt. Taylor Wilson & Capt. Caine Livesay aboard the Miss Banx.
